The Institute’s mission is to further the understanding of the processes of vision and to develop new therapeutic strategies for the benefit of patients worldwide.  To achieve these goals they have created a broad multi-disciplinary environment of outstanding quality with investigators probing the mysteries of how cells work through to clinicians running large-scale clinical trials.  The Institute benefits from a close and long-standing relationship with Moorfields Eye Hospital, which with it forms the largest single site for research and eye care in the world.
